Matt came to D’Amore Law in 2014 after managing plaintiffs’ asbestos claims and lawsuits at a local law firm. He enjoys the hands-on, practical nature of paralegal work and his background reflects his desire to be challenged! Matt grew up in Wyoming and attended the University of Montana and earned his undergraduate degree in Biology and Natural History. During summers in college, he worked as a logger and commercial fisherman in Alaska. Before returning to graduate school at UC Berkeley to pursue a degree in Environmental Science, Matt worked in the biotech industry. As a graduate student, he researched non-toxic alternative agricultural pest management in Northern California. From there he worked as a paramedic for several years before moving to Oregon in 2006. In 2013, Matt graduated from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College with his Juris Doctor (JD degree). Matt has been working as a paralegal since 2010 and is an active OTLA member.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys live music and comedy shows, hiking, camping, and paddle boarding.
